Welcome Back, Dave and Bird

It was great to have Dave back from Portugal and back on stage with us at MJA Vineyards last Friday, May 22. The afternoon was filled with good friends, great wine, and plenty of music as we settled into a relaxed set in one of our favorite Santa Cruz venues.

A big thank you to everyone who came out to listen, sing along, and spend part of their Friday with us. These local shows are always special, and having Dave back in the mix made it even better.

We're looking forward to more performances, more music, and more time together as The Flint continues another great season of playing around Santa Cruz.

See you at the next show! 🎶🍷🎸

A Huge Thank You to Stockwell Cellars — What a Night!

Last Friday night at Stockwell Cellars on Fair Street in Santa Cruz was truly something special. We want to send a big shout-out to owners Suzanne and Eric Stockwell for having us and for creating such an incredible space for music, community, and good wine. Every time we’re there, we’re reminded how lucky Santa Cruz is to have a venue like this.

To all our friends, family, and the many newcomers who came out — thank you so much for spending your Friday night with us. Your energy, dancing, and support mean the world. Seeing familiar faces mixed with new ones is exactly what keeps us inspired to keep making music and sharing it with our community.

We also want to give a special nod to the Sleight of Hand Pizza crew, who bring the heat (literally!) every Friday night. If you were there, you know how good that pizza is — and if you weren’t, it’s worth coming just for that.

And to the entire Stockwell Cellars crew: you take such good care of us every time. Your hospitality, good vibes, and professionalism make playing there an absolute pleasure. We feel at home every time we roll in with our gear.

We’re grateful for all of you.
Keep an eye on our calendar — we’ll be back soon.

Much gratitude,
The Flint

🎶 A Great Sunday Afternoon at the Davenport Roadhouse

This past Sunday, The Flint had the pleasure of playing at the Davenport Roadhouse from 4–6 PM, and we just have to say—it was an amazing afternoon.

The entire crew at the Roadhouse was incredibly welcoming. We absolutely love playing there, and every time we do, it reminds us why this spot is such a gem on the coast. A special shout-out to Teddy and Maria, who went above and beyond to help us out and make everything run smoothly.

The food, the atmosphere, and the location simply cannot be beat. If you haven’t been out to the Roadhouse recently, we highly recommend making the trip. It’s one of those places where everything just feels right—great people, great energy, and a perfect backdrop for live music.

We’re hoping to add more dates there soon, so be sure to keep an eye on our calendar. We’d love to see you at the next show.

See you on the coast,
The Flint

THANK YOU DAVENPORT ROADHOUSE (teddy)

Looking Forward to Our First Show at the Davenport Roadhouse

We’re excited to announce that The Flint will be playing our first show at the Davenport Roadhouse on Sunday, November 23, from 1–4 PM.

Huge thanks to Teddy and the Roadhouse crew for inviting us to be part of their live music lineup. We’ve heard great things about the space, the food, and the people — and we can’t wait to bring our sound to this iconic coastal spot just north of Santa Cruz.

Come join us for an afternoon of music, good vibes, and community. We’re looking forward to meeting some new faces and making some memories together.

See you soon,

SHOUT OUT!

The Flint at Highway 1 Brewery

What a great Saturday afternoon! Yesterday we played at Highway 1 Brewery Company, just off Gazos Creek, and couldn’t have asked for a better setting. The ocean breeze, sunshine, and that outdoor stage made for the perfect backdrop to our set.

We played from 1 to 4 PM, and it was one of those shows where everything just clicked — good sound, great people, and even better energy. We want to give a huge thank you to everyone who came out and supported live music.

Special shoutout to Lucy and Peter — happy anniversary! We loved your energy and smiles out there in front of the stage. It’s always extra fun playing for people who are into it as much as we are.

We’re feeling grateful, inspired, and ready for the next one. Stay tuned for where The Flint is heading next — and as always, keep the fire burning 🔥

A New Spark: The Flint Comes Together

After years of playing our own paths — in coffee shops, backyards, and small stages up and down the coast — three musicians found the right moment to strike a spark. That spark is The Flint.

We’re a new band, but not new to music. Each of us has been writing, playing, and singing for years. When we finally came together, something clicked — a mix of grit, heart, and harmony that felt instantly right.

Haynes brings a deep folk-rock groove and warm, weathered vocals.

Bird, whose voice can cut through a room or soften a melody in one breath, adds a powerful, soulful edge.

And Pera, who’s been writing and performing since high school, ties it all together with stories that feel lived-in and real.

We’re still early in the journey, learning our sound together and finding where it takes us —
